Business Week Success with One Simple Word

Have you guessed what that one word is that can give your business week a real feel for success?

I am so excited to finally be catching on. You know you have probably heard this word said to you over and over. I know I have heard it.

In fact I have paid lots of money to hear it too. But somehow my ears would go deaf and my vision seem to grow dark until I saw the next shiney object Power Wordflying around in front of me. Ever been there?

This word I am speaking of has the potential to sky rocket your efforts in every area of our lives. Have you guessed it yet?

Well if you said, ACTION then you got it.

But wait!

Please don’t do what I would do turn away thinking, “But I just wanted the one thing that would help me be successful now.”

But that is it! ACTION is the ONE things that will make you successful now.

The Root Issue

If you are still here, perhaps still a bit skeptical…I want to ease your mind with this thought so you can see how powerful action is…

The mere fact that you are still interested and you really want to do something about it shows you have a definite desire to take action. I especially encourage you to start your business week with a determination to make it successful.

If you can identify that the real root issue which is not that you lack in the ability to take action but the real root issue is allowing fear, laziness and any other personal obstacle you esteem more to rob you of your potential success.

The Excuses

Sorry I don’t mean to sound harsh, I am simply sharing what I had to literally convince myself of. Those are things I uprooted in my own being.

I cannot tell you how many times I would even make excuses that the reason I could not be successful is because of my own relationships.

My husband may not like it why even bother, so I would drop my intended project and even blame him. Poor guy he did not even know anything about it!

Let’s see another relational excuse is I am a busy mom (8 kiddos so far) where could I find time do any kind of business? I am a strong believer now that we do what we want to do.

The Power of One Action

Not only do I have time for business I have time for myself. I love solitude moments that I spend with God in prayer, meditation, reading the Bible and great spiritual enriching books. I even have time to learn violin.

Since I love writing I also maintain a couple more blogs one is personal in nature related to our ministry and my Scripture Look blog where I share about meditations, musings and music from my personal quiet times. In addition I am actively writing two books to put on Kindle.

And since we are missionaries I help my husband, homeschool our kiddos and hold Bible studies with the ladies here and online with a friend and I even attend Nicaraguan Sign Language classes once a week. I have time to listen to my favorite music by Abigail Miller (who is a busy mom herself with 10 kiddos) and yes, I also have time to sleep and even take power naps during the day :)

All because of one little word…ACTION, the momentum has been set, effecting all areas of my life.

I simply started applying myself with a desire for real commitment in 2014. That was my first action step, having a determined vision and to take every opportunity to see it become a reality.

What Action Will You Take?

Now I do not expect you to be quite a busy mom like I am in order to show you are an action taker. I actually enjoy the challenge of putting all that I do in a time management schedule.

I am a planner and administrator and I thoroughly enjoy it. You may not be like that. But what I do advice is that you take action this week in just one area and commit to seeing it through.

What action do you plan to take this week to grow your business?

This is very true. The mistake I made was setting myself up for so much action that it wasn’t achievable. I’ve toned things down a little, so that it’s more achievable now – which feels better.

I will add Joy that actions should always be with a purposeful intent. That is plan your actions accordingly in such a way that they have a real purpose of moving your business forward.

Sometimes what I would call action in the past was simply busy work that really did not profit my business.

Just this week my mentor, Carol Amato, pointed out how I was spending time on busy work rather than adding to my business week success.

And as you will get to know me I am a big advocate of mentorship. I am so thankful for mentors that have encouraged me to take targeted action to advance my business.

There is just no cutting corners to running a successful online business. Everything a “real business” brick and mortar let’s say has in order to advance…we who venture online must seek such success on a smaller scale.

And what I love about doing business online is it is quite affordable even for a mom with a houseful of hungry kiddos :)

Once again, thanks for dropping by,
