Tips for Busy Moms to help you Overcome Writer´s Block

I understand as a busy mom life is just that, busy. But being busy does not mean you have to cut corners on being creative and offering excellent content. Being busy does not mean you have to stare at your screen with a blank look on your face wondering, now what do I write or create.

Ask yourselfTips for Busy Moms

Here are some questions you can ask yourself to get your writing or content creation ideas flowing. Keep in mind you do not have to answer all the questions in one sitting, especially if you start to take off. But you can take some time to answer them all with simple bullet answers should you decide you want to expand on them later, giving you what I call, a content bank.

  1. What is the most important points about my specific topic?
  2. How did I identify my challenges and overcome them concerning this issue?
  3. What have I learned now that I wish I knew then?
  4. What are the biggest mistakes others are making?
  5. How can I help them identify their mistakes and help them solve them?

A Serene Tip

In addition I will also advise you to do something that has really worked nicely for me and that is to take a notebook and pen/pencil and step away from the computer. I have actually come up with great writing ideas doing this.

It would even be nice if you can schedule some creative time of solitude to do this. If you live near the beach, park, etc. then take a walk there with your notebook. Find a comfortable spot and write out your answers to the questions.

Talk it out

Sometime what you cannot put in words you can talk out. Get your iPhone or PC and record. I love the profound question one of my mentor Robert Plank asked, ¨How many of you have heard of talker´s block?¨ It was profound for me because I felt like it was a key that help me release more creativity.

Another tip on the technical side. For your PC it is best to use a USB microphone because the quality will be very good. Later, if you want, you can include the audio as a bonus for your clients or take some clips and use it as a giveaway.

Transcribe

After you record you can transcribe it or hire someone to transcribe. When you plan to hire someone to transcribe it is best if you have several article ideas for them to work on. Ideally between 5 and 10 to get the best rate.

Motivate yourself with the questions I presented to you, step away from the computer, talk and transcribe your thoughts, quick tips for the busy mom to help you get your content creation done. Now off to the precious blessings in life of being a mom.
