Who Are You?

Like many moms I got online to find a way to make money. I personally am looking at raising extra cash but some of you may be out there looking at making a living both are fine goals that can be reached.

I do not know about you, but my journey into the online world of possibilities has had me overwhelmed at times. Let’s be honest there are a lot of wonderful ventures you can endeavor in. It is really exciting but I am recently discovering something that is starting to change my course.

I am learning more about who I am. For this I am so thankful. I believe that as moms we can get lost in the day to day task of taking care of children and home that we forget who we are. We forget it is who we are that makes a difference in our home.

Although there are great and wonderful ventures to get into the question is, which ones are those that fit who you are? This takes time and resources to learn so I want to encourage you to read carefully what I desire to share with you as I hope to be a blessing to you so you can save on time and resources.

Know Who You Are

A good percentage of people that desire to start their own business, especially online, tend to give up. A lot has to do with not knowing exactly what to do. It seems that when programs, systems or plans are presented to you they then give you a feel excitement. In a sense giving you hope that somehow you can make a living or at least earning extra cash. But not long after that you are left disillusioned.

Is it that the program, system or plan did not work or it was a scam? I am not going to say that there are no scams out there but FTC is certainly cracking down hard on them. If you keep yourself informed you can certainly avoid a lot of them. But a lot of times the reason for giving up has a lot to do with the fact that the particular program, system or plan was just not for you.

This is why it is so essential for you to know who you are. For example I love to write. I am discovering this more and more. I found this out when I overcame my fear to work as a freelance writer in 2012. I had a blast writing for several PR travel sites as a ghost writer. Since then I have discovered other topics I enjoy writing about, home business is certainly one of them.

So now, I am thinking in line of building my business based on my passion for writing. Now that I know who I am and what I love I am more focused into investing in programs, systems and plans that will help me grow in this area rather than investing in hopes to find myself.
Take time to evaluate who you really are. If you really want help in knowing who you are then the best investment you should consider is finding a mentor who can guide and encourage you. I will share more about this in my next post.

Who Are You?

For now take a paper and write down what you enjoy doing. For example I also enjoying music, home management, teaching young children, fishing, old timey cars. Then you can take these and choose the ones you absolutely love and match them with your principle passion of who you are.

Here is what I do…I love to write. I like old timey cars because they look cool but I am not going to write about them because I am not that passionate about them. Now I am passionate about music and recently with my interest in learning the violin, I am certainly thinking of writing about it, even if it is just for fun because I love both topics. Which could lead to making money if I choose to monetize this niche.
Well I certainly hope this will help and please don’t put off your future take that simple piece of paper and discover more about who you are.
